About KiteClock
KiteClock helps UK businesses whose people don't sit at a desk know who's working, plan the week and pay the right hours.
Last updated 24 October 2026.
Why KiteClock
Many clock-in apps are built for the US and adapted for the UK. KiteClock starts from UK rules: holiday at 5.6 weeks, pro rata and 12.07% for irregular hours, UK time with the clock changes, rest breaks, and payroll files in the format BrightPay, Sage 50 Payroll and Xero Payroll UK expect.
It's made for teams on shifts, across sites and on the move: security, cleaning, care, construction, hospitality, retail and facilities.
What we believe
- The server decides. Times and location checks come from KiteClock, not the phone, so hours can be trusted.
- Every change has a reason. Edits to hours, pay and leave are recorded with who, when and why.
- Location only when it's needed. Read once at the tap, never tracked in the background.
- We only claim what's built. If something is on the way, we say so.
Part of the Kite family
KiteClock is part of the Kite family of business software, with KitePay, UK payroll software. A direct link from KiteClock to KitePay is on the way; KiteClock works with any payroll software that takes a file.
