Holiday entitlement calculator

Work out statutory holiday for any worker, using GOV.UK's method. Nothing you type leaves this page.

Who is it for?
28 days

5 days × 5.6 weeks = 28 days, the most the law requires.

How it works

  • Regular days: days worked each week × 5.6, capped at 28 days.
  • Regular hours: hours worked each week × 5.6, no more than 28 of their working days.
  • Irregular hours and part-year workers (leave years from 1 April 2024): 12.07% of the hours worked in each pay period, rounded to the nearest hour.
  • Part of a year: a twelfth of the year's leave for each month, rounded up to the nearest half day.

This is statutory holiday; a contract can give more. Read the holiday entitlement guide or the 12.07% guide.
