Editorial policy

Our guides and comparisons are written by the KiteClock team. This is how we keep them accurate.

Guides

• Every rule we explain is checked against official sources: GOV.UK, Acas and legislation.gov.uk. We link the sources on the page.
• Each guide shows the date it was last reviewed. We review guides when the law or official guidance changes, and at least once a year.
• Guides explain the rules; they aren't legal advice. For a decision about a particular person, check with Acas or a qualified adviser.
• Where a guide mentions KiteClock, it says so plainly.

Tools and calculators

Our calculators follow the method in the official guidance, and their sums are tested against GOV.UK's own worked examples before they're published.

Comparisons

• Facts about other products come only from their own websites, with the date we checked and links to the pages.
• If we can't find a feature on their website, we say "not found on their website", not that they don't have it.
• We say what each product does well, and who should choose it instead of KiteClock.

Corrections

If you spot a mistake, please tell us through the contact form. We'll check it, correct the page and update its review date.
