Clock-in and rotas for care teams

Care teams work days, nights and short-notice cover. KiteClock gives staff an easy way to clock in, gives you a rota that checks rest between shifts, and gets the hours right for payroll.

Free for up to 10 people, with every feature. Not a trial.

How it works

  1. Clock in at the home

On a shared tablet by the staff room with a personal PIN, or on staff's own phones.

  2. Plan and cover

Publish the rota, post open shifts for cover, and approve swaps.

  3. Approve the hours

Nights split at midnight for pay, breaks checked, approved hours to payroll.

A kiosk in the staff room

A tablet at the staff entrance becomes a kiosk for the home. Each carer taps their name and their own 4-digit PIN, with lockouts after wrong guesses, and no personal phone is needed.

Staff who prefer their phone can clock in by GPS against the home's fence.

  • Or phones with GPS
  • No photo or location at the kiosk

Nights and cover without the spreadsheets

Night shifts stay whole across midnight and are split at midnight for pay. Rota checks warn about rest between shifts, the 48-hour average and breaks over 6 hours.

When someone can't make a shift, post it as an open shift for others to claim, with your approval, or arrange a swap.

  • Rest-period checks
  • Open shifts and swaps
  • Short-notice changes marked
